About the artist

I believe that the natural and built world is teaming with inspiration, and it is my privilege is to bring those worlds to life in art. I travel the world and across this country to capture a flicker of that beauty through watercolor and gouache landscapes. Incorporating natural materials into pieces is vital to my connection to the natural world. I use bright colors to show the hidden life that is in all things.

I began painting six years ago as a way to deal with a period of immense grief and haven’t stopped since. Painting is a place to put some of the hardest emotions and work through the temporary nature of all of life. We only have this moment. I want to show the beauty and pain of that fact.
